Ram Singh Urveti (b. 1970) is one of the finest painters from the tribal district of Madhya Pradesh. He has been closely associated with Bharat Bhavan and his works have been extensively exhibited in Australia, London and various parts of India. Deeply rooted in the tribal traditions of Madhya Pradesh, Ram Singh has recently been using modern colour and surface and expressing contemporary sensibility. His works are confident, sensitive and bold and one of the finest examples of the genre.
