Anjum Singh
Anjum Singh’s (1967 – 2020) career articulated her exploration of manmade urban chaos and the order of nature and the intersection between these two. She had always liked to mix the organic with the artificial. Her works had always been essentially about the structure of contradictions.
The imagery was strong but the feelings were fragile; they questioned what we as a culture had made and what we have destroyed in order to make our structures. Singh’s works will always encourage us to reflect on our habits of living and creation.
