After training at Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan, and M.S. University, Baroda, Pankaj Panwar (b.1961) proceeded to the Royal College of Art, London, in 1989. Pankaj is the recipient of several scholarships and fellowships and has participated in numerous shows across India.
Pankaj’s sculptures explore the relationship and tensions between man and Nature. Santiniketan is his inspiration, and its environment and atmosphere are reflected in his work. Using fibreglass, wood and bricks, Pankaj focuses on the dialectics of form and content to create archetypal images.
