Patil’s themes are of home,
domestic life, memories,
fear and fragility. His almost
cinematic installations,
through a network of lines,
using a glue gun, makes the
art of drawing 2 dimensional
and organic. The exploration
of light and shadow quietly
linger, recalling the black/
white films of Satyajit Ray
– mainly the Apu Trilogy.
The viewer experiences the
pleasures of a voyeur, the thrill
of looking and being looked at.
