“ReVIEW” aimed to redefine the perception and understanding of 20th-century Indian art. 15 Indian artists were invited to respond to five influential artworks that have shaped Indian visual thought and history. The chosen artworks include pieces by Abanindranath Tagore, Ramkinkar Baij, Maqbool Fida Husain, Bhupen Khakhar, and Pablo Picasso. The exhibition presented a captivating repertoire of new perspectives on art, exploring how creative minds silently absorb, interpret, and redefine ideas. The curated catalogue has captivating full-colour plates of the artworks, accompanied by an insightful essay written by Aveek Sen. The essay expertly provides a contextual backdrop, offering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art featured.
