“Shifting Paradigms” explored the changing landscape of Indian contemporary art as one century ended and another began. It reflected the transition from an indigenous, modernist period that prevailed until the 1980s, to a globalized and postmodern era embraced by the artists of the 1990s. This exhibition showcased the fusion of traditional and popular elements.
