Suraj Kumar Kashi (b. 1976) of Jamui, Bihar, was born in 1976 with a passion for painting. He followed his calling by pursuing a BFA at the Art College Patna, and then moved on to pursue a Master’s degree from the esteemed College of Art at Delhi University. Suraj emerged as a gold medalist, and doors of opportunity opened up for him. He started out as an art director but his heart was always consumed by his artistic pursuits, which led him to embark upon a full-time freelancing career as an artist. His eclectic experiences of rural, semi-urban and city life, created an ineradicable impression on his artistic style. Suraj Kumar Kashi strived to curate his signature style, which is a conglomeration of his diverse life experiences, living in villages, towns, and cities.

Suraj’s paintings take on a surreal and mystical essence, where each theme is a story of fascinating characters, transforming into something extraordinary. The viewer is captivated and drawn into the enchanting world of his canvas. Suraj deftly works with a wide range of mediums and textures, his current works are created with acrylic and oil on canvas.
