Ramkinkar Baij
A preface
This exhibition is all about recollection feeling and shaping fresh perspectives. The viewers have the freedom to relate to, and interpret, each work of art in context to their time and space.
The works selected evoke shadows, layers of emotion, histories, contexts and deep underlying sentiments and truths — some closer to our times and others separated by decades.
The words, in poetry and prose, remind us of humankind’s struggle and dilemma with life, raising myriad questions often bereft of answers.
In the face of deep existential crisis, there is no better way than sublimating through words, ideas, forms and colours. Creativity, undeniably, restores a semblance of faith, truth and sanity in the face of utter uncertainty and chaos.
The viewers are thus free to draw their own perspectives and conclusions and title the exhibition to suit their experience.
