“Sidewinder” an Indo-UK initiative presented by CIMA in collaboration with The British Council and Goldsmiths College, University of London, curated by Gerard Hemsworth, aimed to challenge assumptions and rules in international fine art while fostering cross-cultural exchanges. With 13 talented artists from India and the UK, the project nurtured connections and embarked on a transformative journey through a month-long residency. Edited by Suhail Malik, and with contributions from other well-known authors, it offers a thought-provoking exploration of these issues. Complemented by 35 high-quality colour plates showcasing artworks by acclaimed artists such as Mark Wallinger, Michael Raedecker, Jogen Chowdhury, Ravinder G. Reddy, Jemima Stehli, Atul Dodiya, and others, the catalogue provides a comprehensive visual and creative experience.
